metal shielding on model 1 genesis

    I was extremely sucessful at moding my genesis :smt040 any way i need to mount the switch, I was wondering if it is possible to leave the metal shielding off?

    Yeh its not big deal you can leave it off. I play my genesis without the cover because I lost the screws as I tried to mod it myself but never did it.

    If you play with RF, you might want it back on. (Thats what the shielding is for.)

    thanks for the help. I use av cable actually, but cut a hole in the shielding for the switch to fit in, works great. Does this also allow me to use a japanese sega cd aka mega cd?

    Yup, as long as your MCD is from the same region.
