Metal Sonic Hyperdrive 2013 Thanksgiving Release

Metal Sonic Hyperdrive is a heavy modification of Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) by Darkon360/GothicReaper/LoneDevil for the Sega Genesis.
with brand new Zones, Sonic CD style gameplay, Music, Playable Characters, and Modes. Starting Metal Sonic, taking Sonic's role as the main protagonist to stop Dr'Robotnik's greatest inventions yet. Also starting special guests such as Kirby, and Somari (who're meant to be Unlockables due to technical difficulties, also there for the lulz.).

I want to play it on my MegaDrive - how exactly would I do this?

 

You'll need a Mega Everdrive to play it on real hardware. Until you get one, you can always load it in an emulator.

 

Oh ok, just looking at buying one - I've kinda known about them but never really looked into what they actually are/can do an I'm impressed! The save feature is amazing lol.

Playing games like this on an emulater is just NOT the same for me :-(

Now looking at buying one, the prices are like £100 - is that right?

 

I think that's the price. And to be safe, it might be best to ask the creator or someone who played the hack whether it works perfectly with the Mega Everdrive.

 

Tested and confirmed working by FuturePrimitive so there shouldn't be any issue for it to work on real hardware.

 

Just a quick post to say I've now got my Mega Everdrive and have been playing this!

LOVE IT, my little boy has been playing it a lot to and I've had to go out and buy a 'new' Metal Sonic figure since he's into this game now lol

Soo far, the Metal Sonic Classic Trilogy is complete. unless Sonic CD also counts, that possible hack is for another time.
i've also made a slight update to Metal Sonic in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 a month ago, now with Sonic CD SFX and very few animations tweaked.
