some revisions of the game DO have thriller, i remember atleast my copy having it, i belive most european copies have it

 

also you can clearly see his wii, it could be running off of an emulator on the homebrew channel

 

The Wii appears to have the standby LED color, but it's not like you couldn't have a flash cart. I think it could be legit, or it could be a ROM hack. The cartridge label seems odd to me but I'm not familiar with Genesis Prototypes and Samples. If it is legit it would be nice to see it dumped.

It's 100% legit. Most Japanese copies of the game contain the Thriller tune when performing the special move. My own copy and basically every Japanese copy I've owned has Thriller on it.

 

so im incorrect about the euro and aussie versions? cus i swear it was in my australian copy

 

If I remember correctly, the graveyard had "Billy Jean" playing ? Or "Another part of me" ?
I also failed googling or youtubing it...

But I cant remember hearing the Thriller song on the german/european verison either...then again...its been some decades ^^

 

The western releases had Thriller removed. Only the Japanese version has it as far as I'm aware.

 

But what was the idea behind removing that specific (awesome) song ?

 

I believe it was a licensing issue as Jackson didn't actually write the track Rod Temperton did.
