Now, I'm all for more micro machines games, as you can note from my user tag line. The last decent one, which was just about skill was on the Sega Mega Driveand called Turbo Tournament 96. Military was good, but it stated what i believe was a downward trend in the games, weapons. Ok yes with a game withe world "Military" in the title you might excpet a bit of a boom and a bang, but i felt took away from teh skill if you could just be shot at for being in the lead. So back to the thread topic, "World Series" looks good and might sell well with the nostalgia and retro angle, but what i want, would love please codemasters is the following: 2D Top Down View No Weapons Same Cars for Each Course ( so not able to pick and choose ) Megadrive Two Button Control Thats the End of this rant
I mean it can still look good backgrounds or in this case track and floor could all be HD and the cars can choose either pixel style or HD also. Bit like in halo anniversary I believe where you can change the graphic style on the fly
If the trailer isnt pre-rendered stuff but actual ingame graphics...Id go for it. But I prefer ye good ol DOS version...2 players 1 keyboard
Oh man I had no idea this was in the works, one of my favourite multiplayer Mega Drive games ever!! Hard to believe it's been over 10 years. I just hope they keep it simple and playable. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.... Edit: just watched the trailer, no gameplay footage by the looks of things.
