Try those store search engines like pricewatch/pricegrabber but list UK stores. My phone takes the micro SD as well and bought my 1gig stick for $40 w/ free shipping from Amazon.com just before they bumped the price of it up to $45.
I am off to NYC on Saturday.....any chains of electrical stores that may be good to get them from as well?
Retail stores tend to have such items marked up. you'll prolly find a 512mb stick for $45-$50 depending on where you go whereas you will most likely find a 1gig for around the same price online.
I found pretty a cheap 512MB for my phone at pricerunner.se (think it's pricerunner.co.uk for you) also note that these are some times also called Transflash so be sure to search on both to find best price.
