Hi, So I received a Microsoft confidential disc (sorry but I wont discuss what is on the disc) and I have tried it on many different xboxs including XDK and JTAG and it does not boot, it only shows up as a DVD. When I look at it through xexmenu, there is no executable file. The item is from a reputable member so it isn't fake. Could someone please give me reasons why this may be happening? Many Thanks
Define doesn't boot. Also is it pressed media? Any info as to what the disc says? Could also be a blacklisted disc on a newer kernel
All I get is the xbox 360 logo. I believe it is pressed media yes. Its a microsoft confidential and says "SYSTEM UPDATE NUMBER 8498" if that's any help with the kernel it needs? But it also is copyright 2009 meaning the kernel would have been higher at that time? It defiantly for 360 as I've had it in the PC and when I click on the disc, the 360 message comes up. "To play this disc, put it in an Xbox 360 console"
Also, another thing is, I can explore it on my PC, the files that are shown amount to about 90MB when it says the disc is 170MB or is this just padding?
hell i have 2 old pre alphas that boot to a black screen i have no clue why but they dont work i ran XbWatson and all it says is Unable to open file
i'd wonder if this CD can be a use to load unsigned stuff or be used to make a signed Custom firmware System update using it P.S i found a pic that part of the development recovery firmware utilities here:
Hmm, so when exploring the files on an xbox nothing comes up? Edit: I saw that you said no executables, but I mean any other type of file.
xD your hilarious, it was only i've didn't skimmed the info throughly and now i relised its for the dev kit connectivity only to do such stuff my apologize bro lol btw care to explain tho?
