Heard about this. Somehow I think we're going to see a deal cut between apple and microsoft pretty soon.
Apple and Microsoft had a cross-patent agreement that covered all aspects back when this problem is dated. I doubt Microsoft will even ask for a penny in royalties because they'd open themselves back up to the GUI legal war they waged for years.
Anyone really good with patent law? Doesn't it seem that some patents are just WAY too broad, and would give a company a monopoly? I mean... graphical user interface on a digital media player. Didn't the first MP3 players have that?

I got to hand it to nintendo for doing that move, i can only imagine how much money they make off this, as well i think namco is the one that has the patanent for having mini games on a load screen since i have read that certain games to feature mini games on a loading screen were cut out due to them not having the pantent and not being able to get rights for it.
