What are you going to be positioning as the killer app for launch? "We're not positioning a killer app for launch." So basically, we have nothing special for you when the system comes out. And half of the titles are avaialble on PC, and most non exclusive to 360.. :smt009 http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=9096
And neither does Nintendo which is why they showed nothing at the show, save for hype and the promise of playing ancient games on new hardware via some boring pay-to-play download service.
Yeah, but nintendo doesn't own 50% of the us market do they. Nintendo has built in killer apps. A new zelda game or mario game is all it takes.
They're just holding back Halo 3 to combat the PS3 launch. What the hell is their incentive to release this thing so early? I guess they're counting on the holiday season, but IMO that's retarded, because the average user is getting old enough that parents buying kiddies games for xmas isn't as important as it used to be. What's the average age of a PS2 owner worldwide, like 29 or something, right?
Well apparently miyamoto is working on "a new franchise" for the revolution launch. So that could be interesting
Meh, I'd guess Gears of War is going to be the Killer App for the 360 (is it a launch title really?), that is unless that secret version of PD0 that some people have claimed to have seen is actually good.
I read on a Japanese news source Nintendo is saying that it'll launch with at least a Mario game, but also a Donkey Kong and Zelda... which sounds pretty crazy to me.
Thats interesting.. I'd love to see a sequel to Mother/Earthbound for Revolution, considering that it's GBA sequel is above even the mighty Zelda in Japan's most wanted charts it should be a no-brainer.
There's not been one Zelda rehash yet, and only a couple of re-releases (Kamigami and the two Famicom minis). Mario's been re-relesaed out the ass though. That's b/c they know they're getting another Zelda.
