Aren't OG xbox usb ports 1.1 and doesn't the kinect require usb 2.0 ports? If that's the case, it's not possible.

You seem very smart. I think it will work. It gonna take long programming and hardwaring to make it work on the original Xhox.

What would be the use for it?
Besides interfacing the thing, no game is using it.
So, you will have to write a game for it yourself as well.
Your interface hardware will likely cost as much as a second hand 360, so why bother?

Forget the 360 games! I'm talking about using the it for camera, microphone, and sensor. If I didn't have a xbox controller to control the dashboard, I could use the camera sensor to control the xbox dashboard. Kinect Controls Windows 7: that guy wasn't using a mouse or keyboard.

It will be a lot of effort and programming skills just to use it on the dashboard, doesn't worth it.

To do what you want, you don't just plug it in and it works! No software to read/process/use the data from the camera, microphone or sensor.

Kinect's high-speed USB2.0 port won't talk to ogXbox's 1.1 ports very well -- too much data, too fast, to process -- let alone the wrong communication protocol standard.
