Hey, Need Some Help, i'm going to ReDo my MK1 megadrive Stereo audio Mod, or well at least adjust it a bit taking the audio directly from the chip rather then the headphone jack where i get it from now.

Problem i have is my volume slider is well broken, this happened while opening the console as someone had superglue'd the volume slider grip i assume previous owner. anyway.

What im wanting to know, is there a way to replace the variable volume slider with a fixed value resistor? or some way to set the existing volume slider perminently to one value?

i would like to make use of the headphone jack from time to time, but can't as the slider is constantly set at highest level

hope all that makes sense, i dont mind if its a bit of a ghetto rig as its my work horse everyday gaming machine and not a show piece

I remember they discussed this over at Sega-16....

have a bit of a look-see, someone found a link to replacement sliders. I know this isn't what you want to know, but someone may have commented on what other values to use.

cheers, found a thread, although not sure if much happened with it, seems a few 30k resistors or a new slider is required although couldnt find correct size and value, so think i'll go with resistors n see how it turns out
