MM3 Modchip CD reading poblems on SCPH-1002 PAL

Hi there, I'm having trouble to get my ps1 to read normal audio cds with the chip installed. Original games and backups on cd-r boot fine. It reads audio cds fine without the chip but as soon as I solder it back they won't work. Is this a common problem? NVM, it works if you first start the ps and insert the audio cd afterwards
