I bought one of these a month or so ago SPV M500 I eventually got around to installing the software on my PC. Pocket PC 2003 PremPhone GSM W/Outlk 2002 However when I try and run it tio install it fully I get the following Settings file C:\PROGRAM FILES\FILES\SET UP\SETUP.INI is missing or invalid. Please ensure this file exists and is accesible I have WIN98 installed. Anyone any ideas????
Yeah don't buy Microsoft stuff, one of my colleagues bought a phone similar to yours and he has nothing but problems with it!!! I bet the software they gave is not really compatible with Win 98 more with Win 98 SE. You should be better off using Windows XP IMHO. Maybe you should try to open the cab files in the install folder and copy setup.ini into the folder the software asks. Cheers Sabre
Sabre's sol'n seems pretty accurate - I mean win 98 is 7 years old!!! most new MS productsm don't support it. Try installing the software on a newer PC If that doesn't work, THEN you're in trouble!
