I just recently got my hands on a smartphone for the first time and thought I'd speed test it. It's a Kyocera Rise on Virgin Mobile $35 a month no contract plan with unlimited 3G, unlimited text messaging, and 300 minutes talk time. Results for my 3G network speed test in El Paso Texas USA: A little faster than the average 3G network speeds. I know 4G is the standard now but this works fine for me. What sort of speeds you get?
I just got 4g LTE, which runs at about 25-28mbps. It's faster than my wifi- just wish I had more of it. The network, and LTE has a theoretical max at 100mbps.
