Evening all Recently stumbled across this http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=304&products_id=8117& now i'm a bit of a train fan, and never got the chance to experience train sim or any other pc game, Now, there's a train simulator for the PSP, aside from finding absolutly nil about this game, i was wondering if someone here, would know anything about this game or its counterparts (apparently it had a prequel on the PS2) I've also come across these http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=316&products_id=8041& http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=304&products_id=5764& are any of these worth importing?, any info is greatly appriciated Ryan
Densha de go is a pretty well known train simulator series Heres a translation for one of the densha de go games http://www.ntsc-uk.com/feature.php?featuretype=tra&fea=TLMobileTrainSimAndDensha
whoa, looks as if, alot of the game focuses off of using actually video, or reallllly good rendered stuff, wonder how that affects gameplay
got one of those HI there, since I have the game for PSP (not exactly sure if its that certain edition but anyway), here are a few things you may find interesting: - the game is mostly about driving predefined tube/trainlines, and the aim of the game is to stay on time, and get the train to obey speed limits, as well as braking the train at the right spots to ensure it stops exactly at the right point in the station - i was cautious about the game using actual videos of the train tracks, and how this would impact gameplay, but honestly, its really clever. It basically streams the video right in accordance with your speed, and the effect is better than i hoped -- since the game is literally "on rails" anyway (muahah the approach works surprisingly well. - it is not a full fledged train sim, its Densha De Go -- a really simplified version of driving a train. Basically, all you control is the thrust and the brakes. I had quite a lot of fun with it so far. tubo
There is a full fledged train simulator, with an excat replica of a control panel on the market. I last read about it on engadget
i think you refer to raildriver Assembler?, big USB thing, hundred of switches, controls, expensive as hell, i like my trains, but thats going a little far.. Tubo, thanks for the heads up, reading the steadsters link there gave me that impression, on one of the links there, it lists mobile train simulator and another game together, i assume, there all pretty identical Ryan
