Hi guys, I'm having some trouble with a motherboard, anyone got any ideas what's wrong with it? I think it might be the fungus...

Don't trash it, send it to a designated e-waste disposal facility.

Or can you dip the whole thing in de-ionized water mixed with some chlorine, or just just a lot of rubbing alcohol. But then what do I know when it comes to stuff like this...

Chances are, some of the components on there are probably oxidized and therefore the motherboard is shot. I'd keep the CPU and RAM just in case they still work.

With a little luck if you keep it in a dry place for a couple of weeks it might just work again.. that or the alcohol treatment :p but is it worth it? I guess you can get these older model mobos for almost nothing nowadays.

Be very careful around it. If there are spores and you breathe them in they can seriously fuck you up.

If it's still under warranty, send it back for an RMA ;)
