I always enjoy seeing the wiring porn but quite frankly unless it's going to get hooked on something next time someone takes it apart or you've got a rats nest for a wiring job it doesn't matter as long as it works.
it looks worse than it is, the wireing was a really thin but had the thichest shielding i have ever seen. i didnt think it was a rats nest i thought i did pretty good.
thanks, the wire is fairly thin but has a really thick shielding so i couldnt make it look as pretty as i wish i could.
You did do a good job dude, i noticed you took the initiative to make the wires as short as possible so +1 , i'm just saying the thickness of the wiring is making look a bit bad.
Very nice install, you said you did that in 1 hour? Thats pretty fast, took me 4 hours to fit a modbo 4.0 v1.99 into a v9 GH-023 console. What iron did you use? I used a RadioShack Dual Heat soldering iron 15w/30w for about $15, then filed the tip a bit for more control I have backup tips though lol. Happy New Year All, HaloSlayer255
I've heard that around the net but for my purpose it works. I just do hobbiest level stuff, but if you file too much it can kill the tip. I tried to get a tip very pointy and sharp for soldering small traces and it died, slowly though. I've also heard that it is fine so long as you keep the tip tinned enough though. HaloSlayer255
