Modbo 5.0 a good modchip?

Yesterday I bought one Modbo 5.0.

From your point of view, Modbo 5.0 is better than 4.0?
It have 1.93 firmware.

Every Modbo where the Matrix Softwre has been touched in some form always brought some sort of drawback.
Modbo 4 with FW 1.93 and all Matrix logos in software kept intact are the best imo.

Every other Modbo like FW 1.99, FW 2.00, FW 1.93 with different logos and Modbo 5 are all altered, even though they say they are FW 1.93.
That's probably because they also watch the community and see a lot of people prefering FW 1.93 on them, so they do their thing just write 1.93 on the PCB.

But to answer your question: It will get it's job done most likely, but it will still be a clone of a clone with altered software.

 

Is there a guide anywhere about flashing the 1.93 code on the $1 1.99 chips?

 

I've read it now that Modbo 5.0 is a clone of Modbo 4.0 with added DEV 3 mode.

Anyway, it cost me like 2 dollars.

 

Afaik there is no way of flashing them.

 

I already wrote this in another thread, but I can't believe how cheap modchips have become lately.
