I modded this console about 2 years ago, but I have recently got a decent camera so I thought I would post some pics.
This was the first Microsoft console I bought and it only cost me £10 because it had RROD.
After fixing the RROD I discovered that the console could be Jtagged.
After I Jtagged the console it seemed to be running fine but the CPU and GPU temps seemed very high to me. The GPU temp was getting into the late 70's
Also I thought that the internal design of the console sucks. The GPU gets very little airflow and the DVD drive is sat directly on top of it.
I decided to mod the console to reduce the GPU temp.

The DVD drive has been removed and placed in a HD-DVD drive enclosure. I have also fitted a 1ft DVD drive cable and sata cable.
A 140mm CoolerMaster fan has been placed over the GPU heatsink where the DVD drive should be.
Both of the heatsinks have been replaced with heatsinks from a Jasper console.
A Talismoon crystal whisper fan has been fitted in place of the stock fans.
A Talismoon Twilight crystal fan duct has been fitted.
The ROL green LED's where replaced with much brighter green LED's and the red LED's have been replaced with purple LED's.
The console was sprayed gloss black with green highlights and the chassis was also sprayed green.
I customised an official controller but I could not find the correct shade of green for the buttons and thumbsticks.

I'm not really a fan of Team Xecuter, I just stuck the holographic sticker on for a bit of extra bling (I got it with the quick solder boards).
The DVD bezel is just for show, although the eject button does eject the DVD drive in the enclosure.
The GPU temp now sits between 40-45 max.

Just out of interest, what revision is this machine, and how did you fix the RROD?

You should have taken the green buttons from the controller to Halfords and they would mix you up some spray cans that match the colour exactly.

The console is an Xenon and I did a reflow to fix the RROD issue.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I like the shade of green that I sprayed on the console. I did not want to spray the console with a light green paint.
The controller mod was more of an after thought, since the white controller looked odd after I had sprayed the console.
