I have a PS2 now so I don't need this. A stealth-chip modded PSone console with controller, power adaptor (not shown) and 3rd party AV/cable (not shown). make me an offer. I also took a pic of my mod job so you can see that it's high quality work. The power an eject buttons might need a little re-painting but it's no real biggie. The controller is also painted to match so no text appears (i like it better that way). The R2 button has a few deep scratches on it but I sanded it down so it's pretty even. It was not clearcoated. These are the same colors I used to paint my xbox.

Does the laser unit work? Can it read both regular psx games and CDRs?

affirmative, works perfectly. i've never gotten a read error, not even with cheap CD-R media (which is what i use).

  6. Might be worth you breaking it for spares...

...I hear there's quite a market for the PSOne laser.

    Hope this helps.

nah, i'd prefer to sell it whole. there might be a market for the laser but i'm not sure it's the same for the case or maybe even mobo.

besides, i have a pending deal and a few inquiries/backups.

Perhaps providing a general indication of price would help.

i was expecting something around $50-$55 shipped in USA or Canada (international will be extra).

the deal is pending for $50 until I receive the money so if you can make a better offer until then, it's yours.

A little off-topic, but how difficult was the modchip to install (looking at different pictures, it didn't look hard) and where did you order it?

don't remember where i got the chip but it was very easy to install. there is one point, however (yellow wire) that you have to watch out for since it solders directly on a resistor so too much heat will dislodge the resistor from the board.

someone with intermediate soldering skills will have no problem and i'm sure a beginer will even find it easy for most points.
