Modding 360 Slim ROL

Hi all.
Just want to know if the LEDs used in the 360 controllers are the same as the ones in the ring of light on the 360 slim?

Or what size smd leds will I need, I have some super bright blue ones for a controller but I want to use them in the 360 instead
