    Hello!

as per the info on Sega16 forum here one needs to do this in order to install an extra oscillator with the correct speed:

(this is TmEE 's drawing , credits to him)

It seemed pretty simple and I opened my SGB... but the PIN3 on U2 doesn't seem to be connected to anything ? :dejection: So there is no track to cut :moody:

My SGB is a PAL SNSP-027 one with a CPU SGB-R-10 pcb btw... anyone has any suggestion on how to proceed with this? TIA for any info/help! :05.18-flustered:

    lift pins 73 and 74.

The trace to pin 3 goes under the chip (which is why you cant see it) you can check it is actually connected with a multimeter.

ah thanks Bad_Ad84 , I will to that :) I feared I had a different board revision or something :)
would I get the same results if I just lifted pin3 and solder on the pin73+74 as they are?

I am not sure if pin 3 goes elsewhere or not.

I can tell you that lifting pin 73 and 74 works as I did this mod for reprep recently and thats how I did it.

I've got a stack of crystals here if anyone ever wants one. Need to do this on two Super Gameboys.

Can someone repost Tmee's diagram for this and link to where I can get the oscillator?
