someome knows how to mod a nes to famicom adapter to get extra audio using a powerpak?

I've found a discussion on the net about solderin some pins together and add a resistor to the adapter but pictures are gone...

I guess jap famicom doesn t need internal mod to play the extra audio like the us nes, right?

The Famicom does not need to be modded to play the external audio. I believe pin 46 on the Famicom side of the adapter needs to be connected to pin 54 on the NES side. I don't know about needing any resistors, though. When modding the NES, two pins on the expansion connector are shorted with a 47k ohm resistor, but I don't believe that would be necessary anywhere for what you want to do.

I finally followed your advice and connected the 2 pins, the result is very strange. I tested on akumajou dracula 3 and doki doki panic and all I listened is the extra audio without the standard one, in doki doki I get only sfx and in akumajou only music (not all the channels). Normal games sound normal.

I wonder if could be related of which pin I used to get audio on rca, I took it not from pin 46 of the famicom slot, but from pin 3 of the cables go from pcb to rf case, as I read this is the right pin to get extra audio if you connect a real famicom disk system

I found on the web the solution, must cut trace between famicom pins 45 and 46, then connect with a 10k resistor nes pin 54 to famicom pin 45, and another 10k resistor from fam pin 45 to fam pin 46.

    works perfectly
