I've got a PS3 with a right-side USB port that doesn't seem to get any power. I need that port to finish my downgrade because the console is currently in FSM, the port worked when I used my jig but seems now not to get any power (USB drive doesn't light, controller won't sync etc) I'm hoping it's a power issue and not a communication issue.

Can anyone help me with modding a couple cables to use the 5v from the left port, to power the right side?

I would probably use a 5v wall wart power supply. Use a usb extension cable, cut the 5v and attach it to wall warts power, also attach ground, then use that between ps3 and whatever usb device you wanted. Like an old useless blackberry charger or something.

Or buy a Y cable. They're always handy.
