What the hell are those goggles? Are they part of the game or are they just promo-ing a set of cheap night vision goggles?
You can get them at amazon but its cheaper to get the limited edition if you are also getting the gogles.
inb4 someone whines about the price when it's clearly a special edition and the standard is available at standard price. (The Kotaku comments on the subject made me sigh.) That's gotta be one of the more creative extras I've ever seen for a videogame.
Already got mine pre-ordered, I would be very surpried if they were "proper" night vision goggles though and not just toy IR LED + Webcam + B&W 300x180 LCD screen though.
It is definitely one of the coolest ideas for a limited edition. I'd be surprised if they are really good though considering the price factors involved and the fact that many countries regulate what generation NVG's people can have.
"I got me these night vision goggles!" "What the hell for? You're a hillbilly!" "I don't know why I got these goggles." They are not the military level NVGs. They are chinese made ones you find in your video camera with night-mode with a hint of green coloring. NO way a 'proper' NVG you guys are talking about can be had for less than $240USD.
