Modify a Retail Breakaway to work with a Dakota?

Tested the Alamo on the DVT-4 and had the same result. Maybe someone else can test their Alamo out? Mine has a scuff mark on it meaning at some point in time it might have been dropped or something but I wouldn't think that would make the buttons go all backwards. Maybe that is why it has an "X" on the back. It was no good?

 

X on the back can also mean it's been tested, or if there's a tracking barcode it could mean it's no longer valid.

I'm yet to convert my Dakota I'll probably get around it to sometime next week depending on the damn weather.

I opened the casing with a nail file and damaged it a little. Now that I've opened it, I can see the 4 latches and 2 pins that fasten it together. A dull needle or the blunt corner of a box cutter may do a better job freeing the casing. And yes I did this in my bathroom. Yes that is Colgate toothpaste.

I've been too lazy to look into making something for my Alamo, it's too pretty to be played with.

 

That would take a bit more work since it is physically different. And of course you wouldn't use one to actually play games with but would be cool to see it working at least.
