Hello, I am trying to modify a few files in my Sonic Generations game for PS3. I have absolutely no idea how to do it as my computer wont even recognize the Blu-Ray disc. I can access a computer that can recognize it, but I would prefer to be able to do this on my own computer. Anyway, I just want to modify the HUD file (the replacement one is already made) and the physics engine file (again, the replacement file has been made). Help?
Whilst I'm sure some people here will know the answer, you're best bet is to search the Sonic Retro forums seeing as it's specifically a Sonic game you wish to mod. http://www.sonicretro.org
Atm there's no way for a PC to read a PS3 Blu-Ray. You need either a hacked retail PS3 (and then create a iso) or development hardware.
You can't modify files on BR Discs since optical media (other than -/+RW) are read-only. Unless you mean you want to dump the contents and modify them.
How would I go about dumping a game? And as for Casino Night, not that I know of, I have looked into it.
It's on the PS3 store I believe but not XBL unless they've pulled it (there was some talk on Sonic Retro of it disappearing). Anyway you're not missing much, it's a very basic pinball game.
Actually it is quite advanced if you've ever played it and gotten the secrets, and also I'm pretty sure that it was never on PSN.
Like hex said, the way I do mods or add-ons for a game is with a modified console similar to a custom firmware PSP or PS3, or on a dev kit. You should rip the game onto your HDD then FTP the files or connect the HDD to your PC and see if you can switch them that way. I know there was some sort of FTP app for the PS3 a while back on xbins.org it's a start for replacing the files. You should also be able to transfer them from a USB device to the PS3 HDD.
