What a piece of crap, just like X factor, and all the other shite . Which is on right now. Jesus Mother Fucking Christ, making a TV show that shows the worst in people, is something I either shut off the TV from. Or zaps to Animal Planet or something better.

Who cares. Television is entertainment and nothing more. If TV is keeper of your conscience then you've got bigger problems than those people.

I don't like shows like this. It brings out the worst in everyone, the audience and the people on the show.

I feel bad for that guy, but you know, she probably would have cheated on him. I didn't finish watching the video.

Hah, do you really think these are randomly selected people? They ask someone who's got lots of skeletons in their closet. How do they know, though? Someone's set them up, it's all a big con for viewer figures.

I can't believe how people on the show react, either. I watched a clip of one to see what the fuss was about. The girl was asked, for $100,000, whether she has ever purposefully vomited after eating to lose weight. Her Mum and sister were going nuts telling her not to answer. What??!? For $100,000 you couldn't bear to hear that your daughter is bulimic? That's messed up. If it were true, she needs your help, but you don't wanna hear it. Same episode, they asked if she'd fancied one of her sister's boyfriends. She said yes, and her sister gave her such an evil look. WHY?!?!?

Why do Americans have to be so damn melodramatic?

Incidentally, I think it is so funny that she messed up her marriage AND went away with nothing. I wonder why the ex boyfriend did it. Does he still like her? Or was he hoping to run away with her and a huge wad of cash? Is he still interested now she's got nothing?

    Ahh, karma! ;-)

Never said we didn't. Big Brother is stupid, that's why I don't watch it. Just like pretty much ALL reality TV! Still, being locked up in a house under certain rules for ages has a certain psychological effect on you. Going mad over a relative answering a simple question is a completely different matter.

But what you said implies that brits aren't.

Anyway, I disconnected the cable from my room because I don't watch TV alot. When I do it's usually Discovery Channel.

That said, I feel old :(

This is why year on year TV audiences are disappearing off and finding 'entertainment' elsewhere. It has hit the independent channels hard as these days there are several hundred channels all demanding the attention of what used to be a pretty much captive audience. Ratings down, advertising spread across a plethora of channels, revenue down, less money to put into programming = dumb shit, cheap, reality based TV. Why pay for talent when dumb shits who think being on TV for any reason what-so-ever means that they are famous and worthy of watching will clamber up onto the podium and perform like... well, dumb shits!

I for one became sick to death of reality TV and endless talk shows about 10 years ago. Prior to that I would occasionally watch about 4 or 5 hours a day of television. Now I watch roughly 4 or 5 hours a week. If the news is interesting, I'll watch it (but the birth of 24 hour news is not a welcome one in my view).

If there is a particular rugby match, a particular documentary, a decent film, perhaps an old repeat or some comedy I like then the TV gets switched on for that and immediately switched off when it finishes.

The same thing happened with the tabloid newspapers and I also refuse to buy them! Who gives a damn about who is sleeping with who, why so and so decided to lose weight, where they went on holiday and whether they are still not over their last partner. The saddest truth in this nation is that instead of news worthy items being covered in the majority of the press we are treated to a daily diet of banality and poorly pieced together fodder.

I watched that clip the other day and if it wasn't a bunch of actors then it was a bunch of dumb shits with no pride and few morals, they deserve whatever they get either way. The lowest kind of TV trash there is.

I mostly watch Nick at Nite. Though most of the shows there are getting A LOT more recent. Seriously, why is George Lopez on there? They went from Home Improvement to George freakin Lopez. They skipped like 15 years of TV shows they could have used.

Sometimes I watch TV land, but the shows on there are usually too old for me, but some are still funny. I can't STAND Beverly Hillbillies.

For the most part, I watch TBS. I used to watch Fox, but when they stopped showing Digimon and changed to nothing but "Black" shows (you know what I mean) I stopped watching. The reception to Fox is piss poor around here, too. Its always grainy.

I'd love to have Cartoon Network. I can watch G4 in the kitchen, but the only show I like on there now is Xplay. And I don't even watch it that often.

Oh, and I watch those crime shows sometimes too.

No wonder why I enjoy watching Cartoon Networks Grim Adventures of Grim and Mandy, that show is maybe made for kids. But damn the humour is awesome, just like Neds Newt was. But seriously, I have always hated "reality shows", since I was fucking locked down in a house for 9 months, without getting payed at all. But seriously all that shite can kiss my arse ! ! !

Give me Reptilicus with the Danish audio any day of the week. Than seeing any of that shite they show on TV.

I don't have any tv channels at my house. I haven't for a number of years. That's part of the reason why I play so many video games and watch so many movies.
