Someone wanted to pay me for a chipped PSOne using MoneyGram. So far I've tried to retrieve the payment through two different locations with the same problem - MoneyGram won't let it "go through" and I needed to call them up.

It doesn't seem like a scam as the guy wanted me to mod a few other consoles for him and he assured me that MoneyGram told him it must've been user error on the B&M end of things. Anyone used these guys sucessfully? Bad? Good?

From what I remember, being the receiver is perfectly safe. As the buyer, if you send money with MoneyGram you have no way to get it back.

So its very unlikely to be a scam, if anything he's trusting you completely.

I don't remember which one I received (the one that's in walmart. Is it Moneygram or Western Union?) but the employees are really dumb and unwilling to help you - and the letters are really hard to read.

Eventually, I realised the "B" was an 8, and the money went through.

In other words, check the number they gave you.
