I was a Dead Serious Mortal Kombat 2011 is better than SF IV and MVC3

I have WAY more fun playing Mortal Kombat online than I do MVC3 and SSFIV The Gap between good and great players is more Narrow than in SSFIV and MVC3

You seem a little too sure of your opinion, there.

There's no bigger SF Fan than I (in the realm of sanity anyway) but Mortal Kombat 2011 is legit

Yeah, so you basically say that Mortal kombat is better because noobs can win ?
That's my definition of a crappy fighting game ^^

PS: and it's been ten years since I left the realm of sanity when it comes to fighting games ^^

That's weird, I couldn't find that in my dictionary. I'll have to check the O.E.D. at the library and get back to you.

I think it has nothing to do with the graphical style and everything to with even so-called casual players knowing Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom.

I have to admit, my MK9 has had a lot more play than MvsC 3. Is MK the better game of the two? Well, for me it is. There's more to do, more to see, more to learn, hell, there's just more of everything. Yes, yes, I know, more isn't necessarily better but in this case, for me at least, it is. I'm getting bang for buck and the game is getting played instead of just sitting there.

MvsC 3 feels rushed, the characters don't feel weighted properly and there's no consistency to how it plays. When I pull of a Super Move I don't get the same satisfaction that I do when I do them when I'm playing X-Men vs SF or Marvel Super Heroes vs SF on the Saturn. MK9's 'Finishing Moves' are nothing to shout about either, but at least they raise a smile now and again. For me, that's the definition of a great game regardless of genre.

Pulling off an X Ray move and turning the tide of a fight is very satisfying

Well, a lot of casual players thought SF4 was cool because it was "3d" (lol)
And a LOT of casual players think that 2d=shit.

But, yeah, having a well-known name surely helps.

The new MK does not play better than SSFIV. It's like the old MK vs SF2 Turbo debate.

I think it does Obviously my opinion like all others are subjective. We have 8 other MKs that are basically unplayably broken and then THIS comes out and changes the game

Well, what you are telling is that MK9 is not pure broken shit like the 8 others before him.
    I must agree to this.

I freaking love MK - for the style and story, the art and the characters.

The technical side of things is blander though. The graphics on the new one are OK, even impressive at times, but they're still trapped in that plastic-doll feel that really puts me off.

The gameplay is piss easy to master as well. I can kick ass most of the times, something I rarely do in SFIV - although to be honest I'd prefer to own Arcade Edition or SuperSFIV, the original feels quite slow and sluggish..

Yeah, and to be honest. I'd Take a real PHYSICAL disc any day over some shit DLC(That'd probably still cost $$$) that I can't hold in my hands, or show to my friends, or display on my shelf.
