Ok it's been a while since I came here and I'm not sure if that's the right place to ask for this but anyway... I was wondering if there's any MK betas out there, regardless of the kind of console/computer, that has been leaked, and how I could find them. The only one I'm aware of at the moment is a beta of Mortal Kombat II on the snes, which is somewhat unfinished, with character sprites that goes garbled at time, and fatalities which can be done during fights (though the fight doesn't end after the fatality is made, and the clock keeps ticking while both victim and killers are frozen in their winning/fatality frames.). There supposedly was a MK trilogy prototype leaked but I never found it.
Man, that's be awesome to be able to play these. But then, I'm the kind of guy who has more fun playing prototypes/betas than the actual gold games.
I would :love2: to have a Mortal Kombat 3 proto/beta for the Atari Jaguar, it was shown running long ago,but unfortunately has never been seen again...
Oh? I made a little search and there are two prototypes of MK in the MAME romset, but after playing them, they're more "pre-release" than "alpha/beta".
Rev9.0 is the prototype available online. It is almost complete, but there is an earlier version that calls Johny Cage 'M. Grimm'. As far as I know, it has not been leaked and screenshots do not exist. It is supposed to be really early.

I couldn't tell you for sure. To be honest I've never played either the release game or this prototype.
