From my understanding there is NO pc drive that can rip GDR's , correct me if im wrong but i don't think i am.
There's a hack where you use an specially crafted CDR disc to convince the drive to move the laser into the high density area of a GD... then you dump the extracted data RAW. It's a ghastly hack but it works. I think people were using TEAC drives for that, no ? Edit: by ghastly hack I mean you swap the "specially crafted CDR" with the GD disc after you set up the dumping process... All without opening the drive tray, of course >_<
The Lite-On LTD-165H is the only dvd-drive that I know that can read a gd-rom disc completely. Not all discs works though. Here's a tutorial I did in french explaining the trick: http://dreamagain.free.fr/index.php...ft-ripper-un-gd-rom-avec-le-lecteur-de-son-pc Good Luck, FG
thanks ill find the drive. btw i never asked about the software side as this is a differnt idea then ripping a gdrom
