    Booyea GLODENEYE 700 FOREVA SUXORS

I may get laughed out of here but for the puzzle genre the two bigest ground breakers are Boom Blox great concept and also a game that can make you play for days on end until your wrist is in agoney (not that anyone will belive you got the injury playing video games and mentioning that you did it playing a 'WII' will just make them less likely to belive you).
And the other game Is Katamari Damacy on PS2 blew me away and I still play it and its sequential brethren on a daily basis
Duh Duh.. Duh Duh Duh Duh Duh Duh Duh... KATAMARI DAMACY :)

PSO - Online console gaming for the masses
World Of Warcraft - Ground breaking in player count
Seaman - Semi intelligent 'cyberpet' with voice recognition.
Little Big Planet - User content, high level of creativity, big amount of style
GTAIV - While the gameplay wasn't that original, I'm still very impressed how they got this huge city to walk/drive around without any slowdown (well, nothing too major imo) or in-game loading..
Duke Nukem Forever - 'Survived' a decade without being cancelled :p

    all facts point to "no"

The developers are just putting money aside for retirement at some off-shore account and the go to work whenever the fuck they feel like it. If they really wanted to finish the project they'd have outsourced it a long time ago to much more competent entities.

If Duke Nukem Forever was a quarter of the game they hyped and promised on their forums It would have been bigger than the moon landing.
In the end after going through 3 or 4 different game engins not to mention being started from the ground up each time.
The people who continued to fork money for its development must have been insane I mean 10 years 1 game its as bad as or worse than Limbo of the Lost at least they finished it albeit with bits stolen from litterally EVERYTHING
George Broussard was an idiot from what I understand he had it within completion several times over the years and each time decided to switch engines and start over.
And you know he was aware that he was sucking in the role as in 2001 he/they stopped giving a release date and just started saying it will be done when its done So Lame.
If anyone comes up with a build of the game in the future I will put up $500 towards getting it for this community but in all honesty the only one I think might exist is the old Quake engine build but i think the rest were elaborate vaporware demos coz all they seemed to do was patrol their forums and make sure no one say anything negative about how long it was taking or asking silly questions like what catchphrase you would like Duke to use?
WHO CARES just make the fucking game your being paid to make.

street fighter is 20 years old now, and we're on "Street Fighter IV"...

another 10 you want them to churn out 3 more? Considering how much Capcom likes spin offs and expansions.

...2020? Nah, but we'll have Street Fighter VII before DN:F

Would anyone else agree that the street fighter series as a whole has reached its peak...

I honestly think 3rd strike was its peak. But i will save judge for part 4 upgrade. It seems its the complete game 4 should have been.

    that'd be a different topic...

But to the general gaming public? Yes.

But Capcom stopped designing SF games for them. Who do they design them for? The hardcore Street Fighter players who go to tournaments.

We won't see Alpha 2 on XBLA but MVC2 (and skipped MVC1 for good reason).

Capcom would have dropped the SF line after Alpha if they cared about the general public.

I think SF IV revitalised the limping series based on my taste alone, It was the only one in years that sucked me into it like the old snes ones did(I know they are ports of arcade titles but I didn't get to play those), and if they can top that effort then I will buy the next one.

its like how many times can they release pretty much the same game with the same mechanics. Honnest opinion I believe third strike and the ex series were the only breath of fresh air s.f has ever seen. Ever other game feels like a re hash. Let's face it third strike plasy vastly different and gave us totally new characters to play with ( one could ay they used new characters with old characters in mind example alex = zangief) and ex series...well that was basically 3d. What's next? I'm not an avid tekken fan but from the outside looking in tekken fans don't seem to have the problems us s.f fans are having. ssfiv isn't much more than new stages. The average player will not notice the balancing re - tooling.

Ono said the gap between SF IV and SF V would be less than the gap between 2 and 3 and 3 and 4 he also said 3d movement is possible in V (Way back in the EGM when SF IV was annouced in)
