Most limited edition games come with something boring, a telephone card, an artbook, a music CD, but some just give you tons of stuff and more. So what game do you think has the most overkill for a limited edition version.

For example the Dreamcast Game - Love Hina - Totsuzen engage happening, the limited edition comes in one of the largest boxes for a console game and comes with a clock, a stuffed turtle, a charm and a towel...

Not that it was ever sold at retail, but I'd have to give the nod to the Elemental Gearbolt Assassin's Case Edition.

I would give my right arm (and more or less my entire game collection) for one of those.

I wouldn't call this over the top, but it is definitely my favourite game-gift of all time (even though the game is crap).

I don't think i can call any LE's over the top, the more stuff you get the more desirable i find them:110:.

Pretty much EVERYTHING Working Designs made in the Mid-90s.

The Lunar games come to mind.

    You'd think Halo 3 I mean, it's a HELMET.

    BUT

The craziest LE was the D'S Diner LE (one of a kind) that was $3000.
As part of the sale it was hand delivered by ENO to your house.
Came in a giant suitcase or something like that.

The Kojima Boxes are awesome. They don't cost that much (in Japan) and you get very precious stuff. I.e. high quality artwork books, soundtracks or very detailed Figures (MGS2, 3).

Sega-related I'd like to mention the SGGG-Boxset as well, it contains almost everything a SEGA-fan could want.

My fav. limited console boxset it the Gundam Chars Customized Edition. It contains a greatly detailed Gundam figure as well as GB-player+GC in the wellknown brilliant color composition. I like it. ^^

Yeah, I was about to say. Lunar 2 EBC came with a pendant and ten thousand standees, a map, and other stuff. I think their Growlanser generations one is the biggest right now, but I haven't checked the contents in a long time.

This is only over the top in that the items are more useful than the game.

The D no Shokutaku (D's Diner?) was more than 1 of a kind, AFAIK. 10 from what I heard... but hey, not my thing.

Sega definitely has the record for most goofy LE items. They don't even need a game to make them. They sell that shit on it's own. Just go look at all the tripe they sell at Sega Direct.

The De La Jet Set Radio original edition (not limited) came with a shirt which actually isn't half bad, although it's kind of small.

Most useless and overused LE item? The Drama CD.

It was meant as a display. And anyway, who wants to wear a helmet without the rest of the suit? You just look like a douchebag. That's like saying the Dead or Alive body hug pillow of Kasumi is a waste because you can't actually have sex with it.

Regardless, I wouldn't wear the helmet anyway. It's a tad inaccurate. However it does look very nice next to my monitor.

Yes your probably correct in that the LH LE box does have more useful items in it then the game, probably why it sells so cheaply when it does appear in shops.

As for Drama CDs, I am sure if you are Japanese and love the game / series / wanting some bonus as the DC / PS2 version of the PC game doesn't have a shiny 18 sticker then you'll love the Drama CD.

With LE editions, there are LE editions and there are Kidney removing editions.
