that's interesting. I have had several copies over the years and sold few. I still have the boxed set and loose copy that I pop in for a spin from time to time. Now it's useless unless you know and can speak Japanese... Asia-play usually sold the ASIAN region copies, not JPN region copies at cheaper price though I haven't checked them for last couple of years now as I'm pretty much out of the collecting scene...
For a second there I got quite excited when someone mentioned JSRF selling for 4000 yen (I didn't have a clue about the exchange rate and 4000 sounded like a big number...) 30 quid! Is that it? Why does the yen remind me so much of the old Italian lira?
@ave: i dont own N.U.D:E. myself but im looking forward to buy it when i see the next one on ebay offering shipping to germany. BTW: no i cant speak/understand Japanese but there are a few guides in english that explain the game very well....so i hope i will be able to understand and play the game
You gotta consider that they don't have a sub unit. So it's kinda like calling every number in pennies ...
JSRF was a pack-in over her in Europe, together with Sega GT, so they both are worth next to nothing - the value of complete boxed copies went down too. Sega GT Online though, didn't sell too well - could be worth a bit more. What about Nezmix? I thought that was pretty rare. Also, everything that came out in Europe right before the Games Convention where MS announced they would kill off the old Xbox, 2 days prior a whole electronics chain all of a sudden had a fire sale and EVERY game, no matter how new or old, was sold for 9 Euros, the console itself for 90 (down from 150-200 depending on where you looked at that time), it was crazy. Our local shop opened at 9, at 12:00 there was not a single game left on the shelves. Even titles like Doom3, which at that time still went for 55 Euros, were marked down to just 9 bucks! After that, it was pretty impossible to find xbox1 games in retail stores anywhere. Doom3 still fetches a hefty price, don't know why though. Edit: There also was this little rc helicopter thingy game... Petit Copter or something. Was that sold in larger quantities? And this Mech battle game with stealth capabilities. I also never saw Iron Phoenix or Tao Feng for sale over here, same with Phantom Dust. Always wanted these, never got them, although I thought they were sold in PAL-land.
Tao Feng can be had for 5€, Doom (collector's edition) for a tenner. It's only a matter of a 1-min ebay-search
Yes, in fact JSRF / GT2002 were the pack-in for latin american Xbox units as well. Even I, who never had an Xbox, have a copy.
Doom 3 sure don't go for no hefty prices that iv seen. Most people trying to sell it high but i see it selling for what $2 and collectors for what $12 thats not a hole bunch pretty common title.
I had a copy of N.U.D.E. special ordered for me even though I knew I wouldn't be able to do anything with it. Unfortunately I've lost most of the packaging, but the actual game, manual and green shell case are all in my posession and in great shape. I'd love to know more about it but I don't even have the headset any longer.
Marvel v capcom as a Naomi cart fetches good money (in excess of £200) for a bare cart. What is it with that game! When Marvel V Capcom 3 comes out i will have to horde a few for when we are talking about the xbox 360 like this
Actually, I have a GameStop nearby that sells the Burger King racing game for $1.99, and last I saw they had quite a bit.
with N.U.D.E. you can use any of xbox headset. I have the box set containing the headset and game. It's interesting game but you better have good Japanese accent otherwise won't get too far... for value I really have no idea as it's such a niche title...
Now that I think about it, why were those games on Xbox and Xbox 360? Is it just an Xbox title that's backwards compatible with the 360 or does it have two distinct versions?
It's a situation where code for both consoles is present on the disk for all three games. Pocketbike Racers has an online mode that wouldn't work in a backward-compatibility mode, since the original Xbox Live network is gone.
Rarest Xbox game I know of is Outrun 2005: Coast to Coast or whatever it was called. I never saw a copy in a retail store (new or used). I did happen to finally find one while visiting a friend at a miltary base....the military post shop had a copy in stock which I quickly bought.
