Most technically impressive console mods you've seen

Reading the achievements of the OP in this thread were very compelling. Duping a Saturn using a Gameboy cart? Sounds like something Doctor Who would think of.

What hacks/mods have you seen done that you would consider some of the most technically novel or ingenious?

 

optical drive emulators, and cartridge spoofs. :smile-new:
don't really care for homebrew/unrelzd betas (unless it's a functional tool)...bullshit inbetweeners...except maybe kameo. just retail preservation and 1/1 playback on the original hardware.
bios/boot cracks come a close second, i know nothing of coding, but still appreciate the efforts and results of the REAL backbone behind ANY 'hacking' community. :witless:
