Oh my god that's really very sad:/ If i were the guy who suffered the minor injuries i would feel guilty for this guy's death.. Even though it was not his fault... That was a pretty F***ed up situation there:/
I'm always saying you never hear about people doing good in the news.... it'd be nice if they also didn't DIE or ALMOST DIE doing it.
Utterly astonishing - poor man. I also read on the BBC website that a Dr. returning home at the end of a shift at work noticed an accident ahead. Being of the medical profession he immediately offered assistance. Having followed the Policeman to the accident, he discovered his own son was the victim. Apparently his 18 yr old son had finished his high school exams and was returning home on his motorbike when he was struck by a car. His father attempted to save his son, but he cradled him in his arms until he passed away. Truly the stuff of nightmares for any parent.
Always sad to hear stories where something like this happens to someone who's just trying to help. :-( Something similar happened near where I live a while back. There are two elevated highways and there is a small gap between the two that drops off to the ground below. A police officer on one of the roads was climbing over to the other one to help someone who had broken down and he did not know about the drop off and he ended up falling to his death. They've since put up a fence to prevent anyone else from climbing over the barriers. Article said it was 10:45PM, so it may have been difficult to see. Same as in the story I posted.
Very sad news in both of the stories. there is some good in the world, it's a just a shame a good deed can turn in to something so tragic. yakumo
