    um.. Greece.

Relatively cheap would be sufficient. When I say safe, I mean everything in a containter/freight-box or something with the appropriate insurance.

As all the americans say "Uk is europe?"

Best bet is to try and find a freight company people use to send
    things to family in greece.

I know they have insane customs in Greece.. I think video games are technically
    illegal there...

Well public video games, such as arcades, were implied to be illegal but that was an error in the way the paragraphs of the law were set out. Thankfully this has changed.

Customs wouldn't be much of an issue I gather, since they re all personal equipment, and I don't think they ll consider a GDEV or similar dev boxes to be other than computers! :D

An old colleague of mine moved to Australia from the UK and had everything sent ahead in a shipping container - I can't recall the details but it was relatively cheap.

    Uhm...
    EU = European Union
    European Union = open fronteers
    Open fronteers = no customs

Ergo no customs when moving from UK to greece?
Or is that olde Empire still embraced with customs?

that was a hypothetical sentence, IF I was comming from somewhere outside EU. Should have clarified that sorry!

And by UK-> Europe, I mean continental Europe =)

I send an awful lot of stuff to Greece and must say that their post system is a F*ing joke and I seriously mean that. I can give you an arms length list of why not to use the post office as I'm sure the person who I send the stuff to would. Best try and find a good freight company.

Cheapest is a small van and drive. Other then that find a haulage company that has an office in Greece or does regular runs and use them. For computers and stuff crate your stuff up (As opposed to pallets). 6 m3 isnt a great deal of stuff.

Barc0de, there is a fairly regular shipment service that travels ex-pat stuff during the spring - autumn months from the UK to Greece. Check some of the ex-pat (british) greek forums for more information, but I knew a bunch of people that used it safely. One is truckline, the other is shipped in containers. If you google it you will find info, but if you need some help look for me on MSN some time.

    Points: You won't suffer customs
Shipping to Athens is your best option, safest and cheapest. That is direct from point to point without trucking.
Video games as you know are more than fine (this is more a reply to assembler)
Don't use the postal service (you know why, haha)
Go with a British company. Those are much more reliable, and that's not bias, it's from research I have read and friend's advice (I knew a bunch of people that moved to Greece from the UK when I lived in Crete).
