There was a rumor going on about cave making this game region free, looks like it's confirmed now: ->Muchi Muchi Pork! & Pink Sweets<- Anyone got this? Is it worth buying? Does this contain two discs with seperate games? What about achievements? Do Muchi Muchi Pork and Pink Sweets share same list? And why the hell shmups are so expensive? Damn, so much questions . Anyway I'm wondering if more japanese developers will decide to remove region lock from their upcoming titles, that would be great. I only know three NTSC-J only games that are region free (Mushihimesama, Espgaluda II and Muchi Muchi Pork).
Cave confirmed this themselves ages ago shortly after the title had been announced. I bet it is. Not too much a fan of the Sweets, but Muchimuchi Pork is a piggy sensation. The perfect mix between Cave bullethell and Raizing medalmania. If you feel like reckless buttrape you can also choose "Harahara" or "Manpuku" as extra modes, these two really kick ass in terms of difficulty.
The Limited Edition arrived at my house this morning. I've not had a chance to play it yet though as it's half-term and I've been out trooping around woods and fields today. Overall it's a nice package with a soundtrack CD for each game and a DLC card for a special version of MMP.
So, do the games have any graphical improvements, extras or anything? If they don't, that's simply an insane price. I love me some Cave, but can't ever bring myself to buy these at full price (and what's this I've heard about Dangun Feveron possibly coming to XBLA?).
Based on my previous experience with cave releases for X360, I think every game could be released on XBLA rather than being boxed version that is sold for insane price. But I guess it depends on person, 85 bucks is little steep for me. At least they made Guwange XBLA title .
I agree that they should be on XBLA, especially since I saw that the install for Mushihime-sama Futari was less than a gigabyte. Still, you can always wait for the prices to inevitably drop, at least there's no need to have a Japanese 360 and pay 85 bucks now...
Every shit game is being released for 60$ on disc, I would be really pissed if all that Cave stuff had been released as XBLA-crap only because some guys think full-price is too much for a 2D-game. If you really play the game you'll play those much longer than Crap of Duty or whatnot.
No That's why you're getting two games. You can always pay about 100,000 yen to get the PCBs... the only other way to play these two games right now.
I don't mind buying the discs. Actually, I'd be right pissed off if Cave games became download only titles. When will people learn? Digital downloads of games is NOT the way forward. Basically you're fucking yourself out of a future game. Just imagine if all games from the 16bit age were digital downloads. How many of them do you think you could still enjoy on real hardware in your home? If you can't afford the game then you can't have it. Simple as that. If people don't like the price then they don't have to buy it. Games are a luxury, not a vital part of life. Yakumo
If they were XBLA-only, you couldn't import them, so would have to rely on them being localised. With Cave, it does happen, but you have to wait a long time before they are released. :/
Digital is nice for old titles, but for new stuff I would rather have disc as I can always play it again and again. Let's not forget what happened with outrun on xbox live.

Quote from wikipedia: "On October 13, 2010, Sega announced that OutRun Online was taken down from the PlayStation Network and will be removed from Xbox Live Arcade in December 2011 due to the expiration of their contract with Ferrari." ... thats why I like my games pressed, etched and soldered too.
Someone WILL figure out how to play XBLA games after the 360 is killed off. I wouldn't worry about it.
It's completely legal if you have original copy of game in your stash . And playing pirated XBLA games is possible since JTAGs rolled out.
Technically, only if you rip it yourself. Copying someone else's rip is a legal no-no, as far as I can remember.
