    Hi,

is there a way to convert multi disc games like Lost Odyssey for a xdk.
I know how to convert a retail to xdk, but the problem is after disc one the switching to second disc.
    Anyone can help?

    regards
    Chris

Afaik FSD3 has a builtin function to switch discs ? It should run on XDKs.

last time i try this it goes back on the dev menu. Maybe i need to merge the isos to one. But not sure this is the right way.

At a guess, load the individual iso game files into seperate folders, when it asks for the second disc, boot it from neighbourhood? Sounds like a long shot but worth a try

most multi disk games let you save before the switch so you could always just run the next disk and load the save, Works for me on Wolfenstine.

If all else fails you could always burn a DL-DVD.

Yeah I am pretty sure I remember being allowed to create a save at disk swap time for both Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon. The default.xex on both these games are the same for each disk if I remember correctly, and what the game uses to identify which disc is in the drive is controlled by the XEX media flags.

In short there isn't a way to make it so that everything is on one disc for the games code so you are stuck with the swapping. Unless you are using burnt discs or the DVD-EMU you have to quit the game in some way and select the xex for the next disc. Fortunately for these games you only go up in disc numbers, so for Lost Odyssey you have to this a total of 3 times to get thru the entire game. The only multi-disc game that was troublesome for me was Star Ocean, and for this one I had to use the DVD-EMU.
