I have a Japanese Saturn, Dreamcast and Laseractive player under my tv that I run through a 150w stepdown to use on the local power supply (240v here in Aus).

It does get a bit annoying having to reach back and swap plugs when going between consoles - is there some sort of switch block that can be found?

I have not been able to find a simple double-or triple adapter on eBay, and and I am worried that using a swichless surge board might blow the stepdown if I have all 3 connected at once.

I got one that came with my Panasonic HDR-set....
IIRC, it's got 3 outlets and although the Q's manual has a pic showing it shouldn't be done for that particular device, it worked without flaw...
I'l see if I can find, unbox and take some pics of it.

    EDIT:
Found it pretty quick, was in one of the top boxes.
(from the HDR combo I gotta ask Yakumo about in a few...)

Sorry for the large pics, but I guess being able to read the tech specs would come in handy.
There's no switch on the splitter.

I would recommend a switched extention lead so at least you can make sure that everything is off and there is no chance of accidently switching things on and blowing the step down fuse or circuit breaker.

Just plug them all into a power strip... 150W is more than sufficient to run all three at once, let alone just one

As long as you don't overload it it will be fine.

Although technically the Laseractive is rated at 40W, it does tend to draw a lot more when opening the disc tray. Most step downs do have a Wattage rating which is more peak rather then constant, so depending if it has a fuse or not you might find just running two will blow the fuse.

That's exatly whatI'm worried about - would it be ok if I only have one device on at a time? (I turn the Laseractive off at the power button instead of leaving it on standby).

Wow, so you have to have a separate stepdown converter for each device, or else manually switch them? That must suck. I'm glad the US and Japan use (approximately) the same power system.

Heh, you could also just get a big enough step down transformer that can handle bigger loads.
My main step down transformer is an old 500W General Electric one from the fifties and it hums quite a bit even unloaded. I mostly leave it unplugged when not in use, which is mostly my Atomiswave cabinet.
I really should measure how many milliampere it uses up unloaded. One of the good thing about it though is that it comes with two outlets. I have a few other step down transformers I use for other games though.
