Is this something you made or is this similar to the arcade "Super System"? Very interested to see some pictures of the actual unit and some gameplay footage. Are you running it on a super gun?

I've seen a 4 slot JAMMA Super Famicom board before, but I never managed to find out if it was legit or a clone. I'd like to see pictures of yours to see if it's the same one.

This is the one that I've seen before. I'm almost sure this is a clone system now. I'd never hide such a totally awesome thing in a cabinet though, I'd build a custom case using parts from original SuperFamis and have it sat next to the telly.

One of the arcade places in Taiwan had a few of these, but they were too expensive for me and I was leaving that day... basically it's a board that plugs into the top of a stripped Super Famicom (requires some wired to be soldered on) and has a front end, it can be used to play timed based games or even the game as it stands.

Right, that makes more sense looking at the picture. I wondered what that was sticking out of the back, but it's at a funny angle. I thought it was an all-in-one unit, didn't realise you had to supply your own SNES! So that bunch of wires coming from the rear of the JAMMA board are going to the A/V, power and controls of the console underneath.

It's still a very cool bit of kit. I'd still have one for the novelty factor.

More details on this lurking anywhere? I have seen a Mega Drive arcade unit (6 slot I think) but never this one. Looks interesting!

The Mega Tech is badass. Not compatible w/regular MD games IIRC, a shame really.

As for the SFC, I don't believe there was a licensed JAMMA unit aside the Nintendo Super System.

I always wondered what was stopping a Mega Tech (or Mega Play) unit from accepting standard MD carts. I mean, it is a MD and they are standard games at code level, so is it something in the BIOS maybe?

That'd be another cool custom case worth building for an 8 slot Megadrive.

    Bios I think.

Streets of Rage 2 is bad ass as an Arcade game.

There is an extra chip in the cart which act as a bios thats the only difference. The game is same (you can swap the chip from MD game to MT and it'll work).
