My awesome modded Wii

So a little while ago i got my first Wii. I got it for 50 EUR with shipping, it had all the cables and a set of unofficial controllers. The only problem was it's cosmetical condition. I mean the thing was starting to look like a yellow SNES.
That's why i decided to get a replacement housing from ebay, it didn't cost a lot ( about 20 EUR ).
So here are some pictures I wanted to share.

Because my Wii is hacked, I also have an external 500gb HDD to load games off. But the stock casing on it was a bit too uninspiring for me so I decided to go for something a bit more original.
It was the only spare NES game I had. So why not?
Oh, and you can slide the HDD's board in, It's out just for the purpose of this picture.

Thank you, It's actually very high quality. But they don't seem do be produced anymore, the ones for sale are old stock. So get them while you can !

 

Nice. I have a clear case for one of my xbox consoles but I don't have a Wii...

 

Looks nice but i don't like clean cases much for one reason - look cool when it's new, but few years later you'll see all the dust inside, and disassembling it to clean isn't much of a fun.

 

I have a 10 year old crystal XBOX that says that just isn't true!

 

I was thinking about doing this to one of my wiis, where did you get your shell from?

 

Not much of a mod to me, but hey... nicely done.

The only thing you need when replacing the housing is a stupid Tri-wing screwdriver. I had to get mine off ebay, because you can't find them anywhere else in my area. Anyway, they only cost a dollar.

That's a good price, it's a shame that the shipping costs twice as much as the item itself.

 

The screws on the case strip so easily, fucked mine up

 

Actually the screws for mine were also a major pain. Striped a few screws, but everything holds together anyway, so it's not such a big deal.

 

Not a fan of crappy third party cases myself. I miss when clear consoles were the norm.
