Hey all I thought the age of finding those old attic bargain finds were a long time dead but it seems I was wrong. I had a call from a friend who just cleared a room in his house and he found a load of old retro consoles and games... I thought i would share it with you all. I paid £60 for all this stuff (his price). Good stuff! what do you guys think? Also, all this stuff is for sale for anyone interested. I play all my retro stuff on my DSi so no real need for all this. I also wonder what that mystery NES cart could be as its missing its label... the NES doesn't power up sadly need to look into it see whats wrong but otherwise everything else works.
That's a nice find you've got there. If only I could land upon one again. My last treasure trove was 3 Sega Genesis consoles and 100+ games for $20 back in 2001.
Wouldn't be bothered myself due to how dirty and common the items are but if you are happy with your buy then that's all that matters. There is quite a lot there for 60 pounds.
It's all been cleaned up now so no big deal. Also, Bubble Bobble & Mega Man alone cover the cost of what i paid for all of that stuff so I'm happy I'm happy to report, after a good clean of both the carts, disabling the region lock chip and cleaning the 72 pin connector (Oh, and a fuse in the plug someone decided to remove hence why it didn't turn on...!) The NES is now working  P.S. the cart without the label was excite bike... lol.
Very odd they'd remove the fuse from the plug. I guess they were too cheap to pay 50 pence or whatever they cost these days for a new one in something else they were using.
Europe got a much better cover for (Super?) Street Fighter II. Hell you can probably sell Pokemon Blue for like 30 quid (I see the original carts go for $50 here, at shops).
We have a thread in the marketplace to post about such things: http://assemblergames.com/l/threads...-game-related-and-your-unbelievable-deals.24/
Alot of the stuff i don't need etc is all cleaned, tested and now on eBay if anyone is interested. I only ship to the UK I'm afraid though. link removed - please keep ebay links and discussions in the [ebay thread] - Staff.
Here in the US all of that stuff would probably sell for at least double what you put into it. Good find!
