you have definitely been going on a very big hunting spree I see. There are so many pick ups that you have done man. It is looking nice though. Congrats on those finds.
Thanks a lot. I try to go as much as I can for quality more than quantity. Some of these item took patience to make sure I could get them in the best shape possible. The shelf is from IKEA and I bought it new for 350$ on sales. If you look, I think there are plenty of them on used furniture websites. I love it because the amount of console it can hold (30-32).
Thank you for the nice comment, very appreciated. I just got two marvellous games that I always wanted: I've owned Rule of Rose and played thru it before, but I never knew what happened to my copy. Now I can finally finish this amazing game. I never had or played Conker, but as a fanatic of the character I had to own that game, hope it is fun...
Nice dude! but one ensty bitsy problem... the Conker one you got is what people considered the "Censored Version" because many swears and cussing from have been blurred or tone downed a ton but if isn't much of a problem to you then all by means enjoy! ;-)
Oh I see, thanks for the clarification, I just found out that this was a remake of the N64, which I've beaten many time. Nevertheless I'm sure I'll like it.
That Wild Arms 2 though. If you're a fan of rpgs and A link to the past you should get going on beating it if you haven't already. I've sunk many hours into that trying to 100% it. All I have left to do is max out my Levels and beat the rest of the optional bosses.
I'll get there soon. At the moment I'm playing the first one (in the form of the ''alter code F'' because I haven't been able to track down the first on on PS1), and so far I have to say I'm enjoying it.
Houf, finally after two crazy months of job, I can get back to my hobby : I got that Orange Box for the 360 because the one on PS3 is just unplayable thanks to a very poor job by EA. Also I acquired my new rarest item, The Simpson. Now for an unknown reason that uncommon game cost around 20-30$, somehow if you have it in an CIB condition it can fetch 10 times the loose value. If anyone has an explanation please shear. So now that unique piece is the start of my future Simpsons related games and consoles collection.
A lot of Gameboy games are cheap if you want them loose but if you want them CIB they get a lot more expensive and harder to find. I think the difference in prices are related to the fact that a lot of people when young threw their boxes and manuals away and just kept the carts, as it happened with the NES, SNES and other consoles. Also the Gameboy boxes are easy to get damaged and so a good looking box will fetch a higher value. I collect Gameboy games since 2012 and I have noticed a big rise in prices in those 3 years and some titles got a lot harder to find. Some games I haven't even seen a CIB copy since I started collecting for the system and other games just appear for sale once or twice a year.
Oh well thanks for the answer. I have almost 20 CIB GB games as of now and non of them cost me more than 35-40$. I was just shocked with the value of this one. But who cares now cause I never sell any piece of my collection. Anyways, here are two new additions. I rarely buy loose games, but had no choice for these two, especially when found in the wild and at a fraction of retail price.
A little update : PSOne and LCD and the fighter stick are new in box. The 360 had some hidden gem if you were into JRPG's. Now I'm looking for the Tales that was exclusive on the 360.
Finally got my hands on one of those minty Helmet. Now I have to look for the limited edition. They are very expensive though so not any time soon. So happy I waited to find that GC adapter for 25$ from ToysRus. That Beyond looked awesome I think it was a preorder version.
Not a big update quantity wise, but hell of a quality if you are into these stuff. I always promised myself to never buy an unlicensed or unofficial game no matter what. But when I found out about this on a Facebook groupe I just couldn't pass, I had to have it. So there it is FFVII, my second favourite JRPG ever, in all its 8-bit glory.
Nice collection! I've just gotten serious myself about collecting after all these years. Growing up you would think I've collected the whole time with over 1000 games but I'm a player first. How are you finding local collectors to buy, sell and trade with? I'm mostly checking out flea markets, Craigslist and retro gaming stores. Which means I'm mostly paying eBay prices. Going to have to look into that FF7, zelda outlands is the only home brew I have and it's great.
Well first of all, thanks for your interest in my collection. The best suggestion that I can give you, is that try to make connection with your local game store. Cause they have more reach to awesome deals than us collectors. I'm not gonna lie, it will take quiet of time, but trust me when that confident is built, they will take good care of you and always try to cut you some deals. I know every game shop owner in my town very well, to a point that when they get some collectible or more valuable stuff they call or PM me before they make their stuff available to the public. As an example I got that E.V.O for less than $90 USD and the Rule of Rose cost around $70 USD (just to name those I see in this page). That being said not always you'll find everything local and only then I'd turn towards Evil Bay. So just be patient and don't rush, other wise you'll burn quickly (economically). Now my DQ VIII is complete. If you were not aware that WatchDogs is now on sale at GS or EBGames for $49.99 CAD.
How much you paid for your copy? I'm thinking about buying one but I still haven't found one for a good price.
