It looks like a car monitor screen, they are ultra common in the junk parks of second hand shops.

How many copies of R-Type and Momotarou games do you have by now? And I thought space was limited in Japan :110:

Dude, amazing! I knew for went there once that Japan was like nirvana but not so high! Congratulations for everything you have. You did save a lot of money being there compared to some of us who spent large amount of money even for small things... And as ave says your flat gets bigger as you collect games ?!?

Sorry to comment on an old post, but at least the thread is relevant.

There was a Victor Wondermega in the Akiba Super Potato a few weeks ago... 27,000yen-ish if I remember correctly. If I find one for 10,000yen at on of my local Hard-Offs, it's bought immediately. I managed to get a boxed Neo-Geo for 70,000 last week, which I thought was a good find.

BTW, where did you find your Master Systems? Also at a Hard-Off?

yeah..that wondermega is still there iinw.

70000? you sure you don't mean 7000? ;) that would be indeed a good haul.

one lose SMS i've found in a hard off for 1000. the other boxed one, already years ago in a different recycle store for the same price. that recycle store is a quite dirty place, but seems to be a very good place from to dig good treasures for the cheapy.

the latest haul was a CIB DUO-R with arcade card DUO 5 games for 2000  and some years ago, a lose Car Marty for 500 ^^

Lovely deal on the Mark III. Even for Japan that's a great deal.

What about the black D box? Is it a soundtrack or a slipcase for the 3do version?

@yakumo: yeah, saw it in the hard off for 1000yen in the junk corner and had to put it in the basket. if it worked or not, the fm soundunit alone was worth the bucks already :)

    @ave: it's the directors cut of D.

I do love the way that different Hard Off stores have widely different prices... the two hard offs I know that have MK3s want over 7000 yen for them...

Although you must be a sucker for punishment as I see you have another copy of F1 Pilot, probably the worst game on the PC Engine (and definately the worst F1 game on any console ever....)

yeah..they vary a lot in their price policy. some of em have every SFC games for 315yen *BANG*. other stores starting from 42yen junk up to several 1000yens games.

anyway, I like their junk corner, since this is the only place to still be able digging some good hauls (like the mkIII above).
the non-junk section is now to much akiba-biased and sometimes even surpasses their prices.

as I said before, if I find a CIB PCE game for 105yen or even less, it's bought. no matter how bad the game is ;-)
I'll use it for masslot trades or just as spare parts purposes (sleeve, sponge, frontcase..)

btw. I've played that SG-1000 F1 game which is def. more worse than F1 pilot:lol:
