My collector box-sets (Updated 31-12-05) Figured a nice way to sorta introduce myself to this place would be by posting a nice little quick coverage of one of the full 'sets' I've got. Squaresoft Millennium Collection For those who doesn't know, the Squaresoft Millennium Collection was a 10 games (11 releases) box-set Squaresoft launched throughout the year of 2000. Each box cost 3,800yen on launch and contains a game + a little bunch of bonus collectible material. There was also advertised for and released around the same time something called "Squaresoft Memory Data Collection" which was a CD with almost 150 save games for probably all (or atleast most) of Squaresoft's Japanese releases. The CD comes with a book that has generic game information for each title + a listing of what's special about each save on the disc. Anyway, let's get cranking shall we? I'll take some more pictures later + post some other box-sets too
I saw them all over clearance about the time ZOE was out. Didn't know they did more than the first few (xeno etc).
Very very cool. Wish I'd have known about them at the time. What was the original price range for them?
First of all, thanks. Took me quite some time and effort to afford getting the entire set, not because they're the most expensive thing out there now, but simply 'cause I had a horribly bad income during the period I got those. They were Japan only releases and they're afaik limited to a run of 10 000 copies each (20k for Xenogears, if you look away from the double release) [edit] Mis-printed the price in the first post, they were released at 3,800yen ($32 accourding to today's index) in Japan. But today, the boxes seems to fetch anything between $40 -> $320 Most of the titles I see for around $40-90 most of the time, in various "used" conditions and sometimes sealed. Chrono Cross and Xenogears usualy gets over $100, 'used' Xenogears I've seen for BIN on ebay for about $120, while Chrono Cross I've seen sold for anything between $60 and $320. Also a funny thing I've noticed about these is that most of a the time, there's not much of a price difference between sealed and opened, most of the time actually, sealed ones have been easier to get cheap than opened ones. It's like some sort of weird thing, sorta like "I don't want to open a sealed box and I've bought these for the contents!" Where on Earth do you get a copy of Valkyrie Profile Limited Edition? I'd scour the earth for one of those pocket watches.
Hi Julian! The VP L.E is one of the PSOne games wich starts to be expensive in Japan, but It's not difficult to find, with Rinkya for exemple, you can buy a copy on Yahoo : http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m27637687 http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r28519821 http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h40244046 http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n45205870 By the way Carnivol, you do have a great collection, I like L.E games 2! ^^
Ebay, YJ, forums. Very nice collection by the way, I love big limited boxes too Have about 35-40 of them, especially the Dreamcast and Hideo Kojima ones are my favourites. As you are into Sony LEs so much, I'd definitely recommend you to get hold of those MGS & Z.O.E. boxes... if you haven't already
