    BYAH! Excellent.

Once I get mmy MVS, I think I'm going to be very uncreative and put it in an old VCR.

i just saw "cartridge input" on the saturn cover, looked over to my mvs and thought "you bet!" :110:

for all saturn lovers: the saturn was defective anyway (it is the one ave got the optical block from).

yeah, everything can be taken apart completely again.

your case is the more functional approach

yeah it's just a cheap thing to keep it safe from spilled drinks or whatever when hooking it up to my supergun

i know, it's against nature. snk inside sega.

but i saved the case from the trash.

    - the cd door hinges were broken, parts missing (the door didn't open if you pushed the button)

    - the battery cover was missing

    - the powersupply was burnt

    etc.

it would have been more expensive to get spare parts than buying another used saturn.

I like the hinges in the back -- are those for cabinets?
Looks like they should hold up over repeated openings.

    yep, they are door hinges.
i took the springs out though because they were WAY too strong.

Puzzle Bobble and Metal Slug 2 are both present - both superb titles and very addictive.

Did I see a couple of fighting carts in that stack too? The image was just slightly blurry.

I love samurai showdown 4. Only problem is none of my friends want to play it with me

I have nothing against snk hardware in a sega case. The only thing that sucks is I love the saturn but if what you say is true then this was probably for the best

Poor Saturn indeed, but it did sound a bit far gone. A novel use for it, certainly ;-)

Interesting project. First time I have ever seen a side loader in a clamshell style enclosure, looks cool. Are you planning to mount the power socket and switch in the future or just leave them hanging out?

I generally think it's sad, when people take good classic consoles apart to mod them. But hey, if it was scrap anyway, this is definately cool;-)
