My copy won't boot

I realise that this thread is somewhat aged but I am curious about that proposed RGB workaround. Would that not simply make the dreamcast boot up in composite video mode and therefore have the TV display the composite signal from the scart cable rather than the RGB one?

 

I Have a pal dreamcast and a burned version of the game in it works just fine
