My Dev-Kit Will Only Display a Black Screen, any ideas?

Hey everyone, I recently got a Dreamcast Dev-Kit. Currently when I power it up it displays a black screen, both via VGA and via S-Video.

If I put a disc in I can hear it load the game, or what I assume is loading the game.

I just wanted to get it running as a standard Dreamcast if nothing else. Does anyone know how to do this?

Also, it has no harddrive installed, however I have a second dev-kit (the Katana labeled version) and it doesn't have a harddrive either, but works just fine.

 

- check the dip switches on the front to match them with your cable
- check the rotary switch & match it with your region
- if that does not help, just launch DAcheck (no need to execute the tests, just launch the app) & exit it & choose "exit to OS mode".

How to do this exactly is described in the SDK.

 

I need to send him a copy of sdks i am helping him out.
he need sdk for his 5.23 and i have them for his 5.24
i am sorting it for adam asap
