The dreamcast in these videos has a good deal or rust somewhere from sitting in a flea market for lord knows how long. Which I think may be part of the problem the drive is having.
Problem Solved Lookie what I found today in a hobby shop It was $40 SAME problems on 3rd strike and VF3tb so I guess I either need to rip out the mod chip from my first one or get a Japanese Dreamcast
If your using the utopia boot disc then your going to have some issues with some imports loading. You have to use another swap disc ie a gameshark or codebreaker to get imports working.
DC-X, it acts just like a Game Shark in as much as you put that in first then switch it for the import disc. It doesn't do the code aspect of the GS though if memory serves, it's just an import enabler.
Honestly using the code breaker disc always did the trick for games that didn't work with utopia. I know blue stinger wouldn't boot with it. Used codebreaker and it booted fine.
